There is a certain kind of person who sees a gap in their community and instead of waiting for someone else to fill it they just go do it themselves.
Ashley is that person.
Ashley is a Michigan mom of two, a healthcare and education professional, and the founder of Rhea Lana's of Jackson. For five years she kept telling her husband the same thing. Jackson needs a large children's consignment event. Five years of watching local families overpay for kids clothes that would be outgrown in three months. Five years of knowing exactly what was missing.

Then the right opportunity came along and she stopped talking and started building.
What she built is something this community has never had before. A full scale children's consignment event at Westwood Mall in Jackson where local families bring the clothes, shoes, toys, and baby gear their kids have outgrown and earn 60 cents of every dollar sold back in their pocket. Other families shop name brand kids items from newborn through teen sizes plus maternity at 60 to 90 percent off retail prices.
And when the sale ends nobody gets left behind. Foster families receive donated items. Local charities get the rest.
Ashley spent her entire career in healthcare and education showing up for Michigan families. This event is not a departure from that. It is a continuation of it. Her goal from day one has been to create a welcoming, well organized experience where families can find what they need, earn money from what their kids have outgrown, and leave feeling good about both.
Hundreds of local families are already signed up to shop and consign. The response from the Jackson community has been overwhelming and the spring sale has not even happened yet.

This is what a woman owned Michigan business looks like. And this Women's History Month I could not be more proud to spotlight what Ashley has built.
